The 93rd ICT Standardization Technical Assembly

The 93rd ICT Standardization Technical Assembly was held on June 27 at the conference room on the ninth floor of TTA to discuss key agendas, including the adoption of Telecommunications Technology Association Standards(TTA Standards). At the meeting, 57 TTA Standards were adopted in the ICT sector, including “Conformance Test for Open Cloud-based Smart Broadcasting Platform.” Two other standards on IoT-based low-altitude UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) control and operation system were also adopted to build grounds for safe and efficient flight of unmanned aerial vehicles in IoT environments in the future. Meanwhile, it was decided at the meeting to propose nine TTA Standards on smart greenhouse and mode of operation for block cipher encryption algorithm as Korean Standards (KS). And presentations on these proposed nine standards helped improve the participants’ understanding of them. In addition, another presentation on the trend of the 3GPP’s 5G standardization was made, and the 5G progress and schedule were introduced.
