Those testing facilities wishing to be certified by CCF as a authorized testing facility need to go through five steps of rigorous verification process. The five steps are completion and submission of Application Package, assignment of Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure the integrity and quality of the authorization process, evaluation using Reference Artifact Testing to objectively assess the candidate's testing capability, On-Site Assessment by the SME for the evaluation of the technical competency and the quality of testing equipments in the facility, and finally, endowment of Authorization Grant to the candidate that have successfully completed and met the above four evaluation criteria.

TTA's Mobile Communication Testing Team participated as a member of CCF when CCF was launched back in May 2004. In May 2005, TTA submitted its application to be  certified as authorized facility for testing CDMA terminals.  TTA has also completed the On-Site Assessment phase when CCF evaluation company visited TTA to evaluate technical competency and quality of testing facility equipments in December 2005. In January 2006, TTA acquired the certificate as the authorized CCF testing facility.

This announcement by the CDG makes TTA one of the three CCF-Authorized Testing Facilities (ATF) in the world along with News IQ (U.S.A.), which acquired the certificate at the end of 2005, and WTS (U.S.A.).

The CCF testing facility at TTA is expected to reduce time required for CDMA terminal certification and thus easing and increasing the export of CDMA devices for the vendors in Korea to export their devices to mobile carriers who are members of CCF elsewhere.
