A4WP RAT Event Held
Since being qualified as an A4WP (Alliance for Wireless Power) Authorized Test Lab for resonance-type wireless charging in December 2013 as the first in the world, TTA has been performing as a leading lab for A4WP. In November last year, TTA held an A4WP RAT Event (Resonator Acceptance Test) to assess the performance and conformity of resonators (transmission coil), which is a core component of a resonance-type power transmitter, and to register resonators meeting the specified standards as an A4WP Reference Resonator Design. From November 11th to the 21st, 2014, no fewer than 17 domestic and foreign A4WP members tested Q values, impedances and current levels of resonators. Resonators verified through RAT are registered as an A4WP Reference Resonator Design. A4WP encourages its members to use only resonators registered as a “Reference Resonator Design” when designing their power transmitter so as to ensure quality and interoperability between resonance-type wireless power transmission products. TTA plans to obtain qualification as a RAT lab based on this development, and thus provide overall A4WP one-stop testing and certification services including resonator acceptance tests.
