Korea ITU Committee Workshop 2014 Held

On December 16, the Korea ITU Committee Workshop 2014 was held at Meritz Tower in Gangnam, Seoul. Over 100 ITU R, T and D members gathered to exchange their opinions concerning last year's achievements and next year's plans. The year 2014 has proven to be a very meaningful one for the Korea ITU Committee. The ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-14), which is regarded as the biggest event of the ITU, was held in Busan, and a Korean ITU Committee member, Lee Chaesub, was appointed the new director of the ITU-T. Director Lee attended this workshop and gave a presentation about the ITU's vision, which won great response from the attendants. As the last program of the workshop, Korea ITU Committee Chairman Choi Young-jin (Director General of the National Radio Research Agency, Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning) awarded seven members who recorded excellent performance over the year. Looking forward to 2015 the Korea ITU Committee is expected to be every bit as active as it had been in 2014. It is also worth mentioning that in 2015 the ITU celebrates its 150th anniversary.
