7th CJK WPT Cooperation Meeting Held

The 7th CJK WPT cooperation meeting took place at Ramada Plaza Jeju from November 12th to the 13th, 2014. About 20 wireless power transmission experts from China, Japan and Korea gathered to discuss measures to jointly respond to ITU-R and AWG international conferences. In particular, to strengthen the influence of Asia-Pacific countries in international standardization for WPT technologies, Korea proposed submitting a CJK joint contribution to the APT-18 meeting that proposed establishing APT recommendations for WPT technologies. Having agreed with Korea's proposal in principle, the attendants will consult with their respective AWG-18 delegations and then discuss this issue in depth at the next CJK WPT meeting. In addition, as development of the CJK report on “Alignment of WPT standards for CJK” is in its final stage, it is scheduled for completion in the next meeting. Also, the attendants shared their latest information on the activities of international standardization organizations related to wireless power transmission, such as A4WP, CISPR and IEC, and the status of relevant regulations in each country. The next CJK WPT meeting will be held in Fukuoka, Japan from January 15th to the 16th, 2015.
