The 82nd Technical Assembly was held in writing from September 29 to October 13 with agenda items such as adoption of TTA standards (TTASs). In the assembly, 13 TTASs including ‘Mobile Emergency Call Service by Voice Recognition of Smartphone,’ ‘Detailed Function of Basic IPTV Terminal Device,’ ‘Functional Requirements for LTE-based Railway Communication System’ were adopted and ‘Transmission and Reception for Terrestrial UHDTV Broadcasting Service’was adopted as an interim standard. Four standards including ‘Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Networks (GPON): General Characteristics,’which are previous versions of the revised standards, were abolished. In addition, ‘Wireless Data Communication Protocol for Korea Coast Guard Maritime Networks’ was adopted as a general standard as the problems concerning technological level and frequency allocation raised at the time it was adopted as an interim standard were resolved.
