| MoU Renewal between TTA and ATIS | |

An MoU concluded in August 2005 between TTA and ATIS (Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions), a standard development organization in the US, was renewed in October. ATIS, formerly ECSA (Exchange Carriers Standards Association), merged with the ‘Standards Committee T1’ that supports telecommunicationsnetwork interoperability in 2004 and has since been developing standards and solutions concerning a wide rangeof industrial issues so as to adjust financial resources for the industry and to help common carriers generate profits. ATIS has been building a cooperative relationship with TTA through a number of international conferences including GSC (Global Standards Collaboration). In the MoU renewed, the content of overall information sharing about ICT projects in each country has been changed to sharing and referencing of standards with each other. As the MoU renewed allows mutual standard sharing and free access of ATIS’standards, the scope of the cooperation between the two organization is expected to be further enlarged. |
