| TTA Authorized to Test Battery-Operated Devices by the UHD Alliance | |

TTA has attained authorization to provide certification testing on battery-operated (BO) devices from the UHD Alliance (UHDA). The UHDA, with the aim of providing true UHD experience to consumers, was founded in January 2015, and it has been establishing technical specifications, test specifications, and administering a compliance logo program. Its members include Hollywood studios, content providers, consumer electronics manufacturers, and post-production and technology companies. The BO devices defined by UHDA include smart phones, tablets, and laptop computers. The test specifications on BO devices include high dynamic range (HDR), wide color gamut (WCG), frame rate, and resolution. TTA has become the only UHDA-authorized test center (ATC) for testing BO devices in Korea, and it provides testing on both wired and wireless UHD video displays, such as UHDTVs, UHD monitors, and UHD mobile devices. |
