Vodafone’s OTA Designated Laboratories Renewed in 2017

On December 8, TTA renewed Vodafone’s 2017 laboratory qualification designation for mobile phone radioactive performance testing (OTA, over the air). With the renewed qualification, TTA will be able to provide Vodafone’s LTE OTA v3.0 test service, which will be newly applied to Korea’s cell phone manufacturers beginning in 2017. Accordingly, Korean cell phone makers will be able to get OTA operator-designated tests on their products supplied to Vodafone more conveniently in Korea, and since Vodafone is the world's second largest operator, this will enhance the competitiveness of Korea’s related products. Vodafone’s LTE OTA v3.0 test specification, which will be applied beginning in 2017, includes five new LTE bands and LTE MIMO OTA as a new test item.
