Survey on Demands for Consultation on ICT Standard-Based Product and Service Implementation in 2016

From February 29 to March 25, TTA conducted a survey of small and medium enterprises on their demands for consultation on the application of ICT standards to their product and service development. The beneficiaries will be selected in April, and they will be offered free expert consultation tailored to them, for example, mentor-mentee consultation and expert group consultation, until December. This will be a good opportunity for companies preparing for product and service planning and commercialization to assure their competitiveness in domestic and international markets by taking advantage of the standards. In 2015, TTA conducted a pilot project of similar nature, where four beneficiaries consequently succeeded in developing IoT middleware technology and a standard for cloud SaaS interworking solutions, and winning a government project respectively.

In addition, TTA’s ICT standardization cyber assistance system (http://assist.tta.or.kr) is an online platform where companies can apply for assistance in resolving difficulties, such as training and seminars to help them understand technical standards, trends in technical standards, the development of standards at home and abroad, and how to respond to standard patents. On that platform, expert advice is offered at no cost. [For more details, please refer to Notices No. 1452 and 1454 on the TTA website (www.tta.or.kr).]
