Wireless Power Transfer One-stop Support Center Opened
On July 19, TTA held the opening ceremony of the Wireless Power Transfer One-stop Support Center, which is intended to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) develop wireless power transfer technologies and offer the testing and certification services required for them to market their products. This was accompanied by the Wireless Power Transfer Promotion Forum and a technical seminar to celebrate the opening of the center. Approximately 200 people were present, including officers from the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP) and relevant agencies and representatives from 120 companies, making this occasion a considerable success. The Wireless Power Transfer One-stop Support Center project has been promoted as part of the MSIP’s “K-ICT Wireless Power Transfer Vitalization Plan” announced in December 2015. The center will help SMEs in resolving the technical difficulties they face in the planning to commercialization stages, for example foundational technologies such as resonator design and electromagnetic reduction technologies. In addition, based on TTA’s expertise, it will analyze domestic and international market trends in wireless power transfer and offer businesses tailored consulting services on intellectual property rights and international standardization activities.
