The 88th Technical Assembly

TTA held the 88th Technical Assembly on June 24. Key items on the agenda included the adoption of Telecommunications Technology Association Standards (TTAS). Among 42 standards brought before the assembly, 41 were adopted as TTAS, including “Transmission and Reception for Terrestrial UHDTV Broadcasting Service,” “Accessibility Guidelines for Reading Disabled People,” “Guideline on Identity Proofing Management,” and “Data Structure of Tags for NFC Taxi Safety Services,” while the remaining one is to be redeliberated later. In addition, six standards that became ineffective by the adoption of revised or alternative standards were abolished. The meeting also made resolutions to suggest five standards to be adopted, including “Modes of Operation for an n-bit Block Cipher Algorithm - Part 1. General” and “Korean Public Alert System over LTE network,” as Korea Communications Standards.
