On December 27, 2016, the 89th Technical Assembly (TA) was held at The-K Hotel with key agenda items on the adoption of Telecommunications Technology Association Standards (TTAS). The TA approved 307 TTAS such as “A Guideline on Equipment Sizing for Network Deployment,” “FIDO Universal 2nd Factor (U2F),” etc. In addition, the meeting withdrew 83 standards and technical reports which relevant technologies are no longer used or the impacts have been decreased by adopting alternative or revised standards such as “Function Standard for Integrated Circuit Cards with Contacts,” “B-ISDN,” “WIPI Web Service for Mobile Devices,” etc. Furthermore, the TA has decided to propose 4 standards to adopt them as national standards including “Information Model for Parcel e-Waybill”. In addition, the mid-term (3-years) standardization plan was established at the meeting. “2016 TTA ICT standardization committee award” ceremony was also held to honor outstanding members and standardization committees of the year, as well as ICT standardization consultants for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME).
