TTA (President Kim Hong-Koo) selected the 10 best thesis in the 『2nd IT Standardization Thesis Contest』. From the IT Standardization Thesis Contest, which had started last year, the winning authors were awarded prizes at the 50th Technical Assembly held on December 27th, 2006.

In this public contests, which was open to college students and the general public, a total of 27 papers relating to ‘global standardization strategies and policies in each ICT strategic area’ and ‘ICT standardization plans in consideration of IPR’ were reviewed. A total of 10 papers were chosen as prizewinning theses.
 
The highest honor went to ‘Standardization of Musical Slide Show MAF and DMB MAF  (authors: Lim Jeong-Yeon, Kim Mun-Cheol and Kim Hwi-Yong of Information and Communication University)’ in the general public category and to ‘An XML-based Process Enactment-event Log Standard Language (authors: Park Min-Jae, Ahn Hyeong-Jin and Won Jae-Gang of Kyonggi University)’ in the student category.

The winning papers will be fully reflected in domestic and international standardization activities in the future, contributing a great deal to the development of Korean IT technology.
