| 2nd Korea Software Quality Awards Held | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

On November 24, the 2nd Korea Software Quality Awards, organized by Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and jointly hosted by TTA and the Electronic Times, were held. The purpose of the Korea Software Quality Awards is to seek out and award the highest-quality domestic software products in order to spread awareness of the importance of software quality and to promote excellent software products. In this year’s event there were a variety of software products ranging from IT security and WAS to application performance management that found themselves competing fiercely for the newly prestigious awards. Indeed, compared to last year a larger number of companies participated and displayed heated enthusiasm to promote software quality. All the participants were scrutinized in detail with a keen focus on software quality excellence, marketability and quality management excellence. In the end, one grand prize winner (the Science, ICT and Future Planning Minister's Award), three 2nd prize winners and six 3rd prize winners were conferred awards. In addition, by promoting prize-winning products and companies through the Electronic Times, it was aimed at spreading the excellent quality of domestic software products. The Korea Software Quality Awards will continue to form a public consensus about the importance of software quality and contribute to leading software quality improvement.
