At the forum, presentations and heated discussions were carried out concerning issues of conformity and interoperability including EMC/EMF test methods, which have surfaced as pending issues in developing countries, as well as the latest technological issues including FinTech. Plans for establishing a National Standardization Secretariat for the developing countries of the region were also discussed. The attendants opined that the forum would contribute to improving not only their national standardization systems but also their conformity assessment systems for protection of the safety and health of their people.

In addition, as part of the Standardization Consultation Program, key personnel from the Ministry of Communication and ICT of Indonesia, a consultation service recipient, made a study visit to Korea starting from November 2nd for 6 days. The visit was organized to help the Indonesian government officials learn about Korea's advanced EMC and LTE testing technologies. During the visit, the Indonesians participated in a testing and certification cooperation meeting with TTA as well as an EMC field demonstration at the Electromagnetic Wave Technology Institute of Radio Promotion Association (RAPA EMTI).

It’s been recognized that the Standardization Consultation Programs implemented by TTA since 2008 has been contributing greatly to the improvement of standardization competencies of the developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region, so the programs will continue to be provided to developing countries next year.
