The Global ICT Standards Conference (GISC) 2017 was held in The K-Hotel Seoul from November 28 to 29, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and jointly organized by RRA, TTA, IITP, ETRI, and KISTA under the banner of “Global ICT Standards, Infrastructure for Success in the 4th Industrial Revolution.”
Attended by 109 experts in ICT sector from home and abroad, the conference was intended to shed light on the importance and accomplishment of ICT standardization in 15 key technologies to realize the Intelligent Information Society in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and present case studies to strengthen interconnections between business management and standardization.
At the opening ceremony held on the 28th, 25 standards experts and two standardization forums were awarded the Ministry of Science and ICT’s Prizes and Citations, and the National Radio Research Agency President’s Citations for their contributions to local and international standardization activities.
