ISO/IEC JTC1/SG3 meeting

The first ISO/IEC JTC1/SG3 (3D printing and scanning) meeting was held at the Hotel Grand Ambassador Seoul from May 24 to 26 with 23 participants from six countries including Korea, the USA, Germany, and the UK. The attendees shared information on international standardization activities by international standards organizations and consortiums relating to 3D printing and discussed new work item proposals in the field of 3D printing and scanning to be pursued by ISO/IEC JTC1. Detailed standards items will be confirmed through the second meeting and subsequent teleconferences, and the results of the SG’s activities will be reported at the 33rd JTC1 Plenary to be held in Vladivostok, Russia in October.
