oneM2M Interop 4
oneM2M, a partnership for IoT standards development and technical dissemination, held Interop 4 in Taipei, Taiwan from 16 to 19 May. Forty-five experts from 16 companies across the globe attended the event that was jointly organized by TTA, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), and the Institute for Information Industry under the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs, testing interoperability between oneM2M devices and their compliance with the interoperability test specifications (TS 0013, V2.2.0) and compliance test specifications (TS 0018) based on the oneM2M Release 2 standard. The compliance test session featured the use of TTA’s certification test equipment and TTCN-3-based compliance test equipment (Spirent, oneM2MTester, etc.) to verify the standards compliance of the devices’ detailed functions. This event allowed the participating companies to debug and optimize their implementations, and TTA and the ETSI will reflect the specification issues found during this test event in revised standards through the oneM2M Technical Plenary meeting.
