The 51st Technical Assembly (Electronic Ballot) and the 60th meeting of Coordination Committee (Electronic Ballot) | |
At the 51st Technical Assembly that was held from April 13th to April 25th, 18 TTA Standards were adopted, 1 TTA Standard was abolished and 1 proposal was selected to be submitted as a national standard. Among the TTA standards adopted at this assembly, “Standard on Integrated I/O Connection Interface for Mobile Phone” (TTAS, KO-06.0036/R3) mandates the mobile phone chargers to use 20-pin rather than the previously used 24-pin. This standard was revised and the ear jacks and data cables from different manufacturers, which were incompatible before, can now be compatible. Furthermore, the old-version standard, “Specification for Mobile Standard Platform” (TTAS. KO-06.0036) was abolished due to compatibility issues with a newer-version standard (TTAS. KO-06.0036/R1, R2, R3, R4, R5) and it was decided that only the newer-version standards will be used. Meanwhile, it was decided that “Automatic Teller Machine’s Accessibility Guidelines 1.0” (TTAS. Ko-06.0040), which aims to facilitate the disabled in using ATMS, is to be recommended as a Korean Information and Communication Standard (KICS). At the 60th meeting of Coordination Committee that was held from April 6th to April 12th, 29 standardization projects to enact and revise TTA Standards including “DMB Interactive Service Specification” were adopted. Also, 4 standardization projects to abolish standards such as “Digital Signature Certificate Profile Specification” have been adopted as well. |
